New Rice Travel Registry and Travel Assistance Provider
Dear Rice community,
As of September 1st 2025, two campus-wide platforms were officially launched:
(1) The new Rice Travel Registry. All Rice community members must register their travel using the registry. Registering Rice-affiliated travel is mandatory under Policy 852.
(2) Crisis24, Rice University's new official travel assistance provider. Crisis24 replaced the university's previous provider, International SOS.
Both of these platforms can by accessed via the "Me" page in iO. Look out for the following icons:

Additionally, please use the links below for guidance on using these platforms:

If you already entered your trip into the previous registry or International SOS system (both of which were deactivated on August 31, 2025), no further action is required on your part; Rice Global has migrated your data over to the new systems.
These changes to Rice’s international travel support infrastructure strengthen safety, risk management and support for all faculty, staff and students traveling on university business in 2025 and beyond. Your collaboration ensures that Rice remains a leader in safe and responsible global engagement.
If you have any questions, please contact travelsafety@rice.edu.
All the best,
Juliana Crim, Global Travel Safety Manager
