New Rice travel registry and travel assistance provider now available in iO
Dear Rice community,
The new travel registry and travel assistance providers we announced on August 28 are now live. You can watch the video below to see what’s new or read the original email on the Rice Global website.
Note that if you have entered your trip into the previous registry or the International SOS system (which were both deactivated on August 31, 2025), no further action is required on your part; Rice Global has migrated your data over to the new systems.
Access the Travel Registry and Crisis 24 on the iO Me page
I will also be presenting at Admin Forum on September 23rd from 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
Find step-by-step guides in the OIT Knowledge Base. This link will open the KB article in a new window.
If you have any questions, please contact travelsafety@rice.edu or visit the Policy 852 guidance page.
These changes to Rice’s international travel support infrastructure strengthen safety, risk management and support for all faculty, staff and students traveling on university business in 2025 and beyond. Your collaboration ensures that Rice remains a leader in safe and responsible global engagement.
All the best,
Juliana Crim, Global Travel Safety Manager
