Policy 852: International Travel
Rice University's international travel policy requires all Rice-related international travel to be registered and conducted safely. It applies to travel funded by the university, part of the curriculum, sponsored by university groups, or representing the university. The policy includes roles for the International Operations Committee (IOC) and Crisis Management Team (CMT) in overseeing travel risks, and the Office of Research Compliance and Information Security Office (ISO) for compliance and data protection. Travel to countries with Elevated Risk for health, safety, or corruption requires additional registration, insurance, and adherence to specific procedures.
